The Rivette QUESTars Adventure Race Series

Q2 Adventure Race

Central England (East) - Thetford Forest

The first two-day adventure race in the 2014 Questars adventure race series will take place in Thetford Forest on Saturday 26 & Sunday 27 April 2014.

This multi-stage two-day adventure race called Q2 The Quest Challenge is designed to appeal to everyone from complete novices to the most experienced adventure racers. There will be a great deal of choice as to the distances and routes taken to enable everyone to set their own level of challenge. And there will be time to rest and recover between the various stages.

Those who have done several Q2 adventure races in the past will know that each one is slightly different, and this challenge will be no exception, so expect a few surprises along the way.

Entry Information

We're sorry, but this adventure race is now full - there are no more kayak places available. Enter a different Questars adventure race online here instead.

Entry prices are as follows...

Stage 1 & 2 only (Sat) £49; Both Sat & Sun £99 - until entries sell out or close on 23 Apr 2014 (whichever happens first).

Extra Maps

Each team will receive one copy of the stage maps printed on waterproof paper with all the checkpoints marked on. If your team would like extra copies of the stage maps then these need to be purchased when you enter online.

Bike Hire

Bike Art is the closest place that hires out bikes - they are based at the High Lodge Forest Centre in the middle of Thetford Forest.

Please note we have had mixed experiences with Bike Art in the past and hence Questars does not have any formal arrangement with them for this event. You will therefore need to hire a bike as any other member of the public would. Bikes must be booked in advance and a two-day hire only costs a couple of quid more than the one-day hire fee. You will need to collect your hire bike from High Lodge Forest Centre which is approximately 3-4 km from the event base. Let us know if you don't have access to a vehicle and we'll try to help.

Participants may camp in the event field on Friday and/or Saturday night. Parking, drinking water, toilets and space to pitch tents is provided. You will need to bring your own camping equipment i.e. tent, sleeping bag, sleeping mat etc.

Those who don't want to camp are welcome to find their own alternative accommodation. This event is designed so you can easily stay off site if you'd prefer. There are alternative accommodation options in nearby Brandon, Thetford and other villages.

If you are looking for accommodation before, during and / or after the event then the Brecks area has a range of different accommodation options. You can search for local accommodation on the Explore Thetford website and on the The Brecks website. Alternatively please contact the Thetford Tourist Information Centre, who will be happy to help you find accommodation, on 01842 751975.
